Ingredients

1 cup split peas

1\2 Cup carrots

2 (or more) cups water

Salt

Pepper

Vegetable stock (For later)

 

Method 

Add all ingredients to slow cooker. Making sure water covers the split peas.

Cook on high setting

After 4-6 hours of cooking add your vegetable stock and bring down to low setting.

Blend your soup with a blender for a smoother finish ( with a stick blender I blend while in the cooker; if not you may need to throw half in your blender and add it again to the cooker)

 

Serve with bread, toast bread or bread sticks
