It is no secret that I love yogurt. I try to have my far intake of the calcium rich snack 2-3 times per week, at least.
Yogurt contains live cultures that is super good for digestive health. Some products will label it as probiotics but it means the same thing.
Its a excellent source of protein and vitamins that contribute to everyday health. And if that is not enough, it is high in calcium which can help prevent the development of bone diseases and for young children, help develop strong bones and teeth.
Because I love yogurt so much, it can become boring and I constantly have to make it interesting to eat. Here is a few of my Everyday yogurt hacks you can try:
- Add fresh fruit to plain, low fat yogurt. I love adding sliced banana or grapes
- Add 1-2 tablespoons muesli to yogurt to have as a breakfast
- Use yogurt to make smoothies 1-2 times per week. adding milk, fresh fruit and oats.
I use low fat, plain yogurt because you know, limiting sugar intake is real for me. Do feel free to make your own creations with yogurt and do care them with the rest of us!!
